Volunteer Opportunity with NaviCare/SoinsNavi: Family Advisory Council Member
Number of positions
NaviCare/SoinsNavi is in search of a volunteer from New Brunswick who has experience working with providers from multiple disciplines across diverse settings in the care of children with complex care needs. We are asking that members set aside on average two hours per month of their time for the Council.
The Family Advisory Council (FAC) ensures that NaviCare/SoinsNavi’s goals and outcomes align with the needs of the New Brunswick families who use the centre. The FAC functions to share valuable family expertise and experience to positively influence the implementation and evaluation of NaviCare/SoinsNavi. Parent and family involvement in the centre helps ensure family needs are identified and met.
There is a minimum one-year commitment, with the opportunity of term renewal.
The FAC meets monthly via teleconference, except for in July and August, for approximately an hour and has one face-to-face meeting once or twice a year, as required. Members would be expected to attend approximately 10 meetings a year.
Orientation will be provided via telephone, or in-person if possible, by the FAC Co-Chairs.
Expenses related to attending in-person meetings will be reimbursed, subject to University of New Brunswick policies.
If this opportunity is of interest, please send a resume or CV and cover letter explaining why you are interested and why you believe you can provide valuable input and support to NaviCare/SoinsNavi to Krystal Binns at email@example.com by May 8th, 2018.
